I only have one class on Fridays this semester, Programming Challenges (an elective course), so I hope that this semester my fri-days are days of exploration!
Over breakfast I finished reading the blog that I mentioned yesterday. I unfortunately realized by the second half that parts of it were heavily AI assisted in writing. I still think it was interesting and I am sure it had lots of oversight (perhaps it needed to be translated, and some claude-lish snuck in? That is my hope). But I found it physically quite hard to read. Most AI prose is like that nowadays, and I don't know if they have been RL-ed into being so jagged or if in the past I didn't have my own "internal pangram model" that delivers pain to my eyes upon detection :,).
Anyways, today I felt compelled to consolidate all of my competitive programming solutions under a single Github repository (maxficco/competitive-programming). Not a whole lot of problems from the last couple years, but I hope to add to it substantially! I also compiled my code/notes of Andrej Karpathy's educational videos into a repository (maxficco/karpathy). I also hope to fill this folder more.
Spent most of the afternoon reviewing things in those repositories and went for a nice run in the evening.
